Leading Ibotta's engineering team with the goal of building a revolutionary mobile technology from the ground up. Day to day responsibilities include overseeing the agile development process, hands on development, product management and business development. In four months, Ibotta's user base has grown to half a million users and has become one of the top shopping applications on both iOS and Android. Technologies used include AWS, Ruby on Rails, Mechanical Turk and Tesseract OCR.
Responsible for growing and leading the engineering team for a top 25 internet company. Worked side by side with the CEO and product team to create and deliver innovative products to market quickly.
Implemented an agile process which allowed rapid development with a large team while still maintaining quality and scaling for tens of millions of users and billions of transactions per month.
Led team which transitioned the Photobucket API into an open platform which lets any developer integrate Photobucket into their application. Leveraged OAuth open standard for authorization.
Successfully recruited and hired key players to grow the team from 10 to over 30.
Acted as technical liaison to Photobucket partners including Microsoft, Adobe, Kodak, Ask, Google, Fotoflexer, MySpace and many more.
Started as the first full-time developer for Photobucket. Worked closely with the founders to architect, develop, and massively scale all new functionality for the Photobucket site.
Led team to move legacy PHP code into an object-oriented MVC framework. Continually increased performance and scalability of the LAMP platform which now supports over 90 million users and billions of images.
Created first version of Lucene based search infrastructure which now handles over 40 million searches per day.

As part of a small startup, also wore many different hats including systems administrator, DBA, project manager, customer support, and network admin. Provided 24x7 operational support for Photobucket site.

Started as an engineer doing J2EE software development on a network provisioning system which managed hundreds of thousands of network elements. Responsible for developing new functionality as well as fixing defects.
As senior engineer, led the technical team for the application and was responsible for helping to architect and develop new features. Led a team of 5 full time employees and 5 contractors.
